Meet Ameya's Realm
Tell us about yourself?
Hi! I’m Ameya, a 23 year old creative. For the past decade, I’ve been creating in various fields such as visual art, music, photography, filmmaking and writing. Other than running my business ‘Ameya’s Realm’, I’m also a singer and guitarist in a band called Keaper, as well as a freelance photographer/videographer – half of a production team called Papermoon.
Describe your style and what inspires your art form?
My visual work is cosmic and twinkling, with inspirations from nature, the moon, new age spirituality and cats :-) I like to create minimal line drawings but also textured and mixed media artworks, as well as the occasional painting. I explore my wonders through art, being particularly inspired by outer space, our ‘inner space’, and the connection between the two.
What motivates you to create?
Creating is pretty much what I live for! I feel lucky to have interests in many different creative fields, as jumping between and mixing art forms means I never get bored of creating and find new ways to express myself. Traveling and exploring is a big part of my motivation and inspiration too – it brings curiosity, change, and new perspectives which really sparks creativity for me.
You seem like a very accomplished person, you're an artist, designer, musician, video producer etc. How do all of your creative activities intersect and work together? Do they?
They definitely do work together and that’s my favourite kind of creating! With my band Keaper, we’re an audiovisual project and it has been such a treat to put a lot of focus on the visuals to make our music a more immersive experience. This includes video projects with Papermoon, art for merch, etc. I’ve also been trying not to limit myself with my Ameya’s Realm business and allow it to encapsulate all of me and include all my interests to really become a big world of creative expression.
